2021 Toyota RAV4

If there are two things anyone can point to as the future of the automotive industry, it’s the compact SUV and hybrids. The Toyota RAV4 has already dominated the conversation as the best compact SUV on the road thanks to its unrivaled combination of reliability, durability, and performance. The RAV4 already has a hybrid model that’s quickly gaining in popularity among drivers in Edwardsville and Highland, so Toyota has decided to double down and capitalize on its ascension by revealing the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV).

How Does the PHEV Differ from the Regular Hybrid Model?

Where the RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid will differ from its base hybrid counterpart will be with its more powerful battery. It will be able to operate using only electricity if the driver so chooses, but there is a gasoline backup which can kick in over longer road trips around Shiloh IL and Belleville IL.

The “Most Powerful RAV4 Yet”

Not only will the 2021 Toyota RAV4 PHEV give environmentally-conscious drivers another option when it comes to hybrid vehicles, but this model promises to be the most powerful version of any RAV4 to date. It wasn’t long ago that buying hybrid meant having to sacrifice power and performance, but that is no longer the case. If you want the most robust performance a RAV4 can offer, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 PHEV will be the way to go.

Toyota isn’t laying out any specific performance numbers at this point. But by comparison, the traditional gas-powered RAV4 gets 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, so drivers around St. Louis can expect quite a bit more.
